My short stay in this country included a visit to the awkwardly empty and unphotogenic city of Naypyitaw - the modern capital  - and the templed filled jewel of Bagan in the north. Needless to say my photos cover the latter. Hopping around solo around this incredible magical landscape on an electric bike one fine day, I managed to capture the temples from dawn through to dusk, and every day villagers and river life on  the nearby  Irrawaddy river. I even managed to sneak in a hot air ballon ride as the sun came up to get those aerial shots. This land and its people are  as  awe inspiring as they are breathtaking. No wonder they call it the Golden Land.
